Plant Quarantine Regulations Conducted in association with National Institute of Plant Health & Management, Hyderabad FSSAI Course for Authorised Officers of all Ports. Conducted in association with Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, Chennai. Identification and study of Leather Conducted in association with Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI), Chennai for Officers of Customs which was attended by 41 Officers. Faculty Development Program (FDP) Conducted for the faculty of University of Madras and the faculty of various colleges affiliated to University of Madras.75 Academicians viz. Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, lecturers and research scholars attended the program Wildlife Crime, Global and Domestic Controls Dr. Slavomir Redo, Senior Advisor, Academic Council, United Nations System, Vienna, Austria interacted with the officers of Customs from the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telengana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and union territory of Puducherry during the seminar. Analysis of GST Frauds involving Fake invoices and IGST Refund Frauds Conducted by NACIN, Chennai on 29-04-2019 and 30-04-2019 wherein 127 officers had participated. Similar workshops are being replicated all over India by various Zonal Training Institutes after the successful completion of the workshop held at NACIN, Chennai. Systems Implementation of New Sea Cargo Manifest &Transshipment Regulations, 2018 Conducted onsitetraining at Custom House, Chennai and at Tuticorin for the officers and stakeholders wherein a total of 514 officers and stakeholders participated, Management Development Program at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras Conducted a three-day Management Development Program at IIT-M by the faculty of Department of Management Studies, IIT-M. 26 IRS Officers from all over India participated in the program Health and Wellness workshop Conducted a two-day workshop for Health checkup with pulse diagnosis and iris diagnosis, diet counselling and therapeutic yoga at Govt. Yoga and Naturopathy Medical College & Hospital on 17th and 18th Feb 2020. More than 50 Officers participated and benefited from the workshop. Tamil Language Course Conducted 4 month long Tamil Course on every Friday through online mode which include writing and speaking of Tamil language for the benefit of non-tamil speaking officers. The initiative was appreciated by the Chairman, CBIC in his weekly newsletter and replicated at other other ZTIs. A total of 977 trainee days of tamil training was imparted. |
