National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes & Narcotics (NACIN) Zonal Campus Chandigarh, was set up at Chandigarh consequent to restructuring and reorganization exercise undertaken by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC), erstwhile CBEC in May, 2017. NACIN plays a key role in capacity building in the areas of Customs and GST, enabling the field officers/ staff to develop requisite skills for keeping pace with the current international developments and the changing tax administration scenario in the country. NACIN, Chandigarh conducts Specialized Courses and Refresher courses on GST, Customs, Indirect Taxes, Vigilance, sensitization towards gender & weaker sections of the society, General administration etc. for all cadres i.e. Group A, B & C, in the Chandigarh CGST Zone and CGST Panchkula Station and State GST officers of the states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, J&K, Uttarakhand and Union Territories of Chandigarh and Ladakh. NACIN, Chandigarh also conducts Induction Courses for newly recruited Inspectors/ Executive Assistants/Tax Assistants/Lower Division Clerks/ Havaldars, Mandatory trainings of EAs to AOs & Inspectors to Superintendents and Orientation courses for newly promoted Assistant Commissioners.
