The Painting Camp, a collaborative initiative between NACIN Palasamudram and Sir JJ School of Art, Mumbai, successfully concluded on 19th December 2024. The valedictory ceremony was graced by the presence of Shri M.K. Singh, Member, CBIC, Shri Gaigongdin Panmei, Pr. DG, NACIN, and Prof. Rajnish Kamat, Vice Chancellor, Sir JJ School of Art. Officer trainees from the 75th and 76th batches of IRS (C&IT) were also in attendance. The ceremony featured the felicitation of 25 distinguished artists and students from Sir JJ School of Art, in recognition of their exceptional artistic accomplishments.

The Officer Trainees of the 75th & 76th Batches of IRS (Customs & Indirect Taxes) participated in an immersive art workshop at NACIN Palasamudram, under the expert guidance of artists from Sir JJ School of Art. It was the first experience of painting on canvas for several Officer Trainees, yet they showcased exceptional creativity, producing beautiful artworks. The workshop was an inspiring and enjoyable experience, fostering creativity, and leaving a lasting impression on the participants.

A Painting Camp of 25 renowned Artists organised by Sir JJ School of Arts in collaboration with NACIN at NACIN, Palasamudram was inaugurated by Shri Gaigongdin Panmei, Pr.DG, NACIN today. The camp is from 13.12.2024 to 19.12.2024. Shri Peri Umasankar, Pr. ADG, Ms. Aarti Saxena, ADG and Dr. Ganesh Tartare, Head of Department at Sir JJ School of Arts, were also present at the event. The camp featured participation of 25 renowned artists who are alumni of JJ School of Arts, marking a significant step towards artistic integration with administration.


Shri Alok Shukla, Member (Admin & Vigilance), CBIC, inaugurated the Type IV-S and Type III residential quarters at NACIN Palasamudram, in the presence of Shri Gaigongdin Panmei, Principal Director General, NACIN.
These quarters will provide comfortable accommodation for employees, fostering a conducive living and working environment for enhanced efficiency and well-being.

The 16-month Induction Training Program for the 76th Batch of IRS (C&IT) was inaugurated today at NACIN, Palasamudram by Shri Alok Shukla, Member (Admin & Vigilance), CBIC, in the presence of Shri Gaigongdin Panmei, Principal DG, NACIN.
👉 Member(Admin & Vigilance) administrated the oath to the 82 Officer Trainees, marking the start of their journey of service to the nation.
👉 In his inaugural address, he emphasized balancing compliance management with improving ease of doing business.
👉He urged the trainees to cultivate leadership, humility, communication, and public service skills with unwavering integrity, as they embark on their mission to serve the nation and contribute to India’s path to becoming a developed country @2047

A newly developed NACIN website was launched by Ms. Aruna Narayan Gupta, Member (IT & Taxpayer Services and Technology), CBIC, in the presence of Shri Gaigongdin Panmei, Pr. DG, NACIN Palasamudram on 6.12.2024. Pr. ADGs/ADGs of NACIN, Palasamudram and NACIN Zonal Training Institutes attended this Hybrid launch event. This is a significant step forward in achieving transparency and knowledge transmission.


The State Bank of India (SBI) branch at NACIN, Palasamudram was inaugurated on 06.12.2024 by Ms. Aruna Narayan Gupta, Member CBIC, in the presence of Shri Gaigongdin Panmei, Principal Director General, NACIN. This new branch is a significant step in enhancing banking services and facilities, ensuring greater ease, accessibility, and convenience for the entire NACIN community and nearby areas.


The five-day workshop on Customs on the Frontline: Combating Illegal Wildlife Trade and Anti-Narcotics Trafficking, jointly organized by the Specialized Training Cell, NACIN Palasamudram, and NACIN Lucknow, concluded on December 6, 2024, with great enthusiasm. The workshop witnessed active participation from officers committed to curbing illegal trade. The valedictory ceremony was presided over by Principal Additional Director General, Shri Ved Prakash Shukla. Prominent dignitaries in attendance included Additional Director Ms. Neha Lal, Additional Commissioner Shri Rajnikant Mishra, and Assistant Directors from NACIN Palasamudram — Shri S. Gopal, Shri Shivkumar Iyer, and Ms. Meena Madhusudan. During the event, participants reaffirmed their commitment to tackling illegal wildlife trade and narcotics trafficking with renewed vigour. Certificates of participation were distributed by the dignitaries, acknowledging the efforts of the attendees. The workshop featured interactive and engaging sessions led by experienced faculty, which were highly appreciated by the participants. They expressed gratitude to NACIN for organizing the event and thanked the faculty for delivering insightful and thought-provoking sessions.

GRIHA Council, in association with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), has launched the Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) and Simple Versatile Affordable GRIHA (SVA GRIHA), in order to address and promote green buildings in India.

NACIN, Palasamudram Master Plan was acknowledged with the highest award of Five Star Rating by GRIHA council under Large development segment and this was presented during the 16th GRIHA Summit held at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on 4.12.2024.

IRS-C&IT Officer Trainees (74th & 75th Batches) attended an insightful ‘Appreciation Course’ organized by @LokSabha_PRIDE in the Parliament complex and had the honor of meeting the Hon'ble Speaker, Shri Om Birla. The session was also graced by Shri Gaigondin Panmei, IRS, Principal Director General, NACIN, Secretary General Lok Sabha and other officers.
@cbic_india expresses heartfelt gratitude to the Hon'ble Speaker and @LokSabha_PRIDE for this enriching opportunity given to the Officer Trainees to deepen their understanding of parliamentary processes, which will empower them to contribute effectively to India’s fiscal and economic growth.

Officer Trainees of Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Indirect Taxes) called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The President said that in the changing socio-economic scenario across the world, the agenda of national interest is determined largely by international economic cooperation. She told the officer trainees that they are the guardians of the country's economic boundaries.


SASEC capacity building workshop on Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) Technologies commences at NACIN, Palasamudram. Ms. Sudha Koka, ADG, NACIN Palasamudram, inaugurated the 3-day (Dec 2-4, 2024 ) workshop at NACIN, Palasamudram. Sponsored by the Asian Development Bank, the workshop brings together participants from India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Maldives, and Sri Lanka.
