NACIN Palasamudram undertakes cyclothon to spread awareness of swachhata at Palasamudram. Sh. Gaigongdin Panmei, Pr. DG, flagged off the 7.5 km cyclothon while Sh. Peri Umasankar, Pr ADG and Ms. Sudha Koka, ADG were present. The participants included the IRS Officers under training both Direct Recruits (75th Batch) and Promotee (Cohort-IV) & officers from the academy. The initiative under swachhata reinforces the academy’s dedication to spreading the #SwachhataHiSeva mission amongst the local villages.

NACIN Palasamudram in its initiative to spread swacchata awareness amongst Children- the future of tomorrow, organized a painting and an essay competition on the theme Swabhav Swachhata - Sanskaar Swachhata in the Zilla Panchayat School, Palasamudram on 26th September, 2024 at 2:30pm. Children from the junior and senior categories participated enthusiastically in both the competitions. #SwachhataHiSeva mission.

The 22nd WCO Asia/Pacific Regional Office for Capacity Building (ROCB) and Regional Training Centres (RTC) Heads’ Meeting has officially kicked off at NACIN, Palasamudram, India. Centered on the theme “Engaging New Partners for Effective Training,” the three-day event was inaugurated today, 24th September 2024, by Member (Admin), CBIC, India.
The meeting brings together 34 participants from 11 countries across the Asia/Pacific region to discuss and collaborate on advancing training initiatives in customs and capacity building.

Day 3 of the IPR conference @NACIN Palasamudram concluded fruitfully. Insightful addresses by Ms. V Usha (DG, DGARM) captivated the audience, offering fresh perspectives on IPR enforcement. Shri Vimal Kumar Srivastava (Pr. Commissioner, CBIC) in his closing remarks, beautifully summed up the essence of the conference, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and capacity building in the fight against intellectual property violations. The event fostered key takeaways for strengthening future strategies.

In the Day 2 of the 3-day conference on enforcement and capacity building @ NACIN Palasamudram, the right holders participating from various sectors gave insights on unravelling the depth of Piracy & Counterfeiting in India. Associations viz., INTA, ASSOCHAM, FICCI-CASCADE explained ways to strengthen IPR Enforcement in India through public private partnership. Customs and E-commerce shared methods of curbing the menace of Counterfeiting and Piracy. Activity of identifying fake goods was well received and prizes were given to the participants.
The presentation by Ms. Rumi Hashimoto, Technical Attache, WCO IPR Health and Safety programme, covering WCO’s contribution towards IP protection globally, followed by insightful interactions with right-holders and industry associations on various matters related IP policy and implementation in India, including e-Commerce, importance of public-private partnerships, brought Day 2 to a successful close
After a successful Day 1 of inter-ministerial discussions on IPR protection in India, Day 2 of the 3-day IPR Conference @ NACIN Palasamudram kicked-off with the address of Mr. Pranab Kumar Das, Director, WCO Compliance and Facilitation Directorate, who highlighted the importance of IP enforcement from a global perspective, WCO’s efforts in curbing this menace and India’s growing role in the subject.

NACIN Palasamudram conducted the third Adjudication Workshop from 02.09.2024 to 03.09.2024 for Group A adjudicators of Jaipur CGST Zone and Customs Preventive Jodhpur. Chief Commissioner of Jaipur GST Zone Shri Mahendra Ranga inaugurated the workshop in the presence of Sh Sanjay Gupta, Pr Additional Durector General NACIN Jaipur and Programme director Smt Sudha Koka, Additional Director General, NACIN Palasamudram. Group A adjudicators have benefited from the in-depth and interactive sessions on effective adjudication by eminent faculty.
